Northrend Expansion for WoW?

Date July 30, 2007

**** Game is announced, check our latest post, updating with specifics as they become available Wrath of the Lich King official! ****

As many of you know, there have been rumors floating around for the last few months about Northrend being the next expansion for World of Warcraft. It appears that they may have been correct! WoWinsider recieved a tip from an anonymous party about the music list at Blizzcon this upcoming weekend. The Video Games Live orchestra is doing the music for the event and hidden within their sheet music is 3 tracks titled “Northrend 1, Northrend 2, Northrend 3″. This means a possible arthas encounter for the end game raid content. However, Blizzard stated in the past that only a full raid group of level 80 players would stand a chance against Arthas. This means that there is a high chance of another 10 levels of quest grinding goodness or perhaps this could be the time to introduce hero levels!

We will know for sure on Saturday when its officially announced, but at this point I would say theres a 95% chance that the Northrend expansion is coming next winter. That is, of course, if Blizzard sticks to their plans of releasing an expansion every year. Based off how quickly they have pumped out extra content in TBC, I don’t think those plans have changed.
